Environmental, Social & Governance

At Saltend Chemicals park we take our Environmental, Social and Governance responsibilities seriously.  Click here to find out more about what we do.

In the community

Saltend is one of the centres of the Humber community, employing hundreds of people through partners on site and the site itself. Saltend contributes significantly to the area, helping to generate increased trade and spending in local businesses.

The local workforce is highly skilled – a skillset honed through years of being involved in heavy industry in the area. Saltend Chemicals Park continues to recruit new apprentices each year to ensure that this high level of skills continues.

Wherever possible we use local services – including support services on site – to both run the park and complete upgrades.

Maintaining good communications with the local community is important to us and we engage regularly with the local parish councils to keep them up to date with any news and developments planned at Saltend.  A safety information booklet for neighbours of the site can be found here.

We support a number of local charities and community groups in the area including a local children’s football team and have donated a defibrillator through the Community Access Defibrillators for East Yorkshire (CADEY) campaign.  If you would like to find out more about how we can work together, please contact us.
